Factors affecting color choice in cloths

• AGE & GENDER:- Bright and grey color suit children where are dull color have a depressing effect. Sobber and light color suits elderly people. These days all colors suit more to the fairer gender. THese colors if used by men is a laughing stock.
• SEASON & TIME:- In summers light and cool colors and in winters dark and warm colors are preferred. Cool color like green blue purple and white. Warm colors like red orange and yellow are used in winters. Dark and bright colors do not often in day time. While at night these colors add to the beauty of the wearer.
• Size & Shape of the Body:- Warm colors give an illusion, the size and cool color in exclusion of size. Obese people with dis proportionate body should not wear warm colors and slender people should use bright colors to give a healthy look.
• COLOR OF SKIN, HAIR & EYE:- Color of skin is very important in the choice of the color of the dress. Dark colors look better on whitish complexion  people, from cool and sober colors on fair complexion. Blue pink light purple suits more to fair complexion people. Yellow and brown suit more people with brown eyes and hair.
•  OCCASION/INTERVIEW:- Dark and bright colors should be worn in parties, marriages and festivals to have cheerful as per the occasion. On serious occasion one should war such colors that give a look of seriousness. In certain professions some particular color are used. eg:- black and white are used in mourning. Doctors, nurses, advocate, postman have a distinctive dress. Use of gaudy colors are not desirable in schools colleges and offices. Formal social occasion - demand and use of light dull and medium colors in dressing.
• FASHION:- Colours of dress keep on changing with the change in fashion. A particular color should only be worn if it suits the personality, complexion and figure. Fashion should not be immolated blindly. 
• PERSONALITY:- Color of dress reflects the personality of the wearer. Color is an index of individuals interest. Some people like bright colors while other like dull & sober. Colors express various moods.Warm colors indicate cheerfulness enthusiasm and they grow with extroverts.
